Dry eyes and lubricating drops
Hello sir, I am just fed up by using lubricating eye drops and I don't want to use them for dry eyes anymore. What should I do? Is there any permanent solution so that I can fix this issue as it was normal earlier.

Hello I am sorry but there is no permanent treatment for dry eyes There are certain precautions that need to be taken whole of your life and lubricating eyedrop will be required all your life. Medicine will not cure it... Precautions are also equally important A.  Blink a lot B.  Cold compresses C.  Use antiglare glasses D avoid direct exposure of eye to air E keep using lubricating eyedrop frequently

Everything said by other doctors is perfect as there is no permanent solution. If you are fed up of using drops, you can ask your doctor to apply TEMPORARY PUNCTAL PLUGS which ll help you to retain your own natural tears in your eyes ans thus reduce use of drops. If you are comfortable with these plugs, you can use it for long times too.. Dr Dhaval Patel MD AIIMS Sadbhaav Eye & Dental Clinic Motera Ahmedabad
