  4. Dry cough of child. Medicine?

My 4.5 yrs daughter is having dry cough since last 5 days. the problem aggravated at night and early morning. was taken to homeopath and was given medicine. however the cough was not under control. she was even unable to sleep at night. today itself i took her to allopathy doctor and started giving her cough syrup. now my question is that can i give cough syrup along with homeopathic medicine?
