My wife is coughing for last one week and at times the cough is so intense that vomit. No blood or mucus though. Tried giving dry cough syrup but not much relief. She in general has sensitive throat and have issues with dust. She had no issues of cough for an year when we were in UK. Kindly advise.

It is mebbe due to allergy. Dust related allegies are likely to give rise to dry cough. It is better that a expert examines her throat and gets allergy tests if required and it may help her to get rid of it .
Next Steps
consult an ENT for better evaluation

You seem to be suffering from post viral cough which is common type dry cough syndrome after an attack of viral upper respiratory tract infection. Usually it will resolve on its own within few days. You can use dry cough syrups, strepsils like lozenges and steam inhalation for faster recovery
Next Steps
Consult nearby ENT specialist for confirmation of diagnosis and appropriate treatment if required
