Looks like there is Reflux of gastric acid which at times irritates the lower pharynx region culminating in episodic bouts of cough. Work stress exacerbates gastric reflux. Would advise :
1. Tab Nexium 20 mg , twice daily x 5days followed by one daily after 5 days for 15 days
2. Tab Zolpidim 5 mg at bedtime
Avoid spicy oily food and do exercises .
