Drug reaction or herpes
On last Sunday in the evening my lips swelled all of a sudden. Then slowly itching and burning sensation started and it turned by Thursday to this. What is it? I have consulted three doctors and they all say different things. One say this is ulcer , other say it is drug allergy and another say it's herpes. I am confused as to what to be followed. Kindly tell. Ulcer I can't believe because it happens inside the mouth not on outer lips. Last year I have something on lips but inside only and the size and structure of it was same but nothing was on outside of lips only inside , it went away in 10 days.

Thanks for the query. This presentation can be seen with many skin diseases. The best option is to consult a Dermatologist in person to understand the problem and get it diagnosed. A proper treatment can then be started. Discuss the situation and hope it will be cleared in few days. Don't delay the blood tests or simple skin tests which will confirm if it's a viral infection or ulcers. The same presentation is causing confusion and to narrow to one particular diagnosis, you should be getting investigated. This will clear the confusion, discuss with your Dermatologist about the same. Hope it helps you
