Drink to sleep
I got into the habit of drinking about 3-6 drinks every night in order to be able to sleep. It started when I lived with an ex who snored a lot and kept me up, so drinking was my way of ensuring that I could fall asleep quickly, even if he snored, and also most nights not be woken up. I don't want to continue in this pattern, as I know that excessive drinking is not good for my health. I do not feel that I am addicted to the alcohol itself, just the results it gives me.
