Doubt about mirena removal
I had mirena inserted during may 2013 as I was having excessive bleeding (it was diagnosed as endometrial hyperplasia - biopsy done). I was advised to have it removed after 7 years. Now 7 years are over and I had planned to get it removed during may or june. But because of the pandemic I am scared to visit my gynecologist. I would like to know if it is harmful to have the mirena for a longer time than 7 years. I have had regular check ups all these years and last one was in august 19.

It is not harmful if you hold on for few more months but it wont be of any use...better to go to a doctor and get it removed taking all covid precautions
