Recently I had cholesterol check up and found abnormal about 540 so physician advised to consult cardiolist so please help to advice on do's and don'ts. Openly I am telling I am an alcoholist but trying to avoid slowly. Thankyou

Hello....... That's good, slowly decrease alcohol intake, it increases LDL levels, you should have attached report. Have fruits and vegetables, grains, beans, nuts, and seeds,Using olive oil as the principal fat, replacing other fats and oils, saturated fat is not good for health...Limiting usage of processed foods you need to take in fewer calories than you burn. So that unburned calorie dont get stored as fat, lipid lowering drugs like statin helps in lowering lipid.
