Dopamine detox
Is dopamine fasting or dopamine detox real or fake? I mean are there any natural or artificial methods to stop release of dopamine ?

Hi there, Dopamine is a neurotransmitter which makes us anticipate rewards such as having sexual relationships or eating nourishing food.Many of us are overstimulated, looking for the next source that could trigger a release of dopamine. By continuously triggering release of dopamine through means such as alcohol or drug-addicts strengthen their tolerance to such stimulation.

Dopamine detox tries the reduction of stimulation to prevent overstimulation by various tasks. Drugs of addiction work through various mechanisms and dopamine plays an important role. Drugs used in de-addiction and psychological interventions do act as “ detox” ( natural or chemical methods).

Not in normal person, if there is a patient who has abnormalities of dopamine either increase or decrease that can be helped with medication
