According to American journal of respiratory and critical care medicine, in some people the virus shedding continues for  upto 8 days after the symptoms subside. Disappearance of symptoms varies from individual to individual.. Depends on his in-built immunity, care given during his symptomatic period,Nutrition. So better be vigilant although symptoms subside
