My mother (54) has bilateral ostomastoidits and has been recently having issue in hearing in one ear. Does this condition require treatment with medication?

it depends on how much hearing loss she has, the condition of her ear drum, and the spread of infection. it may be treated with medications only, but depending on the above things, she might require surgery also.
