Hello. Very Good evening. For every minor or major elective surgery, doesn't matter which region, its the right of the surgeon to Rule out three infections as follows :
1. HIV 1 & 2
2. Hbsag ( for Hepatitis B)
3. Anti HCV Antibodies ( for Hepatitis C).
Without these reports, no surgeon will perform surgery not only in india, I Whole world. Its a standard procedure. You have to sign the documents before surgery. Regards.
