Does aspiration occurs

Asked for Female, 1 Years

My son is 5 and half month old. My mom while giving medicine, closed the nose to make him gulp. He cried and swallowed. Does aspiration occurs. Though he is fine, am worried. How long should I look for any symptoms. If occurs, when will it start show symptoms
