Do we get capsule for cough

I am a 22 year old male suffering from cough since a week. The coughing begins as soon as I go to sleep and is their almost whole night due to which I cannot sleep. Is there any capsule that can relieve me permanently from this cough? Can this cough be due to some food allergy?
