Gross DNS is merely one and most obvious types of the upper airway obstruction that contributes to Sleep Apnoea. However only a Polysomnography along with a Dynamic Sleep MRI or a Drug induced Sleep Endoscopy(DISE) will give a Surgeon trained to manage Sleep Disordered Breathing, to customise the exact surgical solution for each individual patient.
Next Steps
Many inexperienced Surgeons make the mistake of posting patient for Septoplasty before doing a proper clinical and Radiological evaluation, and unfortunately another underlying comorbidity may be missed! Patient continues to have symptoms of Sleep Apnea after the surgery and the Surgeon is none the wiser as the patient loses faith in him and moves on to a new Surgeon!

Depends on the amount of DNS.
SEVERE DEVIATION OF NASAL SEPTUM can cause or aggravate sleep apnea.
