Dizziness and difficulty in standing
Hi, I have been taking medicines for somatis complaints. Dr prescribed Opiprol 50 twice, Toficalm 50 twice and Duzela 30 twice from 2 months. I have been very fine from treatment. But today while waking up I faced difficulty, I was unable to stand , everything was moving, after several attempts finally I stood up, but felt dizziness and vertigo whole day. Please look into it. First time i felt this much difficulty in standing, while changing neck position, this problem got enhanced. But by now it has been better from morning. need help. I am in village currently so unable to meet my dr.

Well, pleasure for you for medication response. As u have told that you were fine since u started taking above prescribed medicine and had insignificant side effects...It is highly unlikely that this significant vertigo and dizziness which is worsening while changing position of neck is because of medication side effects.. Possible causes may be (1)Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV) --- a problem due to inner ear (ear has a primary function of balancing the body) (2)Hypotension/ Hypertension (3) Food poisoning
Next Steps
visit to ENT ( कान नाक गला) specialist if it happens again Blood pressure/Heart rate monitoring or consult to psychiatrist if vertigo is associated with somatic/ anxiety symptoms

There can be several reason for vertigo. 1. Part of the somatic symptoms disorder 2. Change in Blood pressure 3. Postural hypotension Since the symptoms did not last for long, you need to wait and watch for few days. If the symptoms reoccur consecutively for next 3 days, first it is advised to consult your psychiatrist.
Next Steps
check your blood pressure

Was there a recent increase or decrease in you medications? Did you abruptly stopped medications? There can be multiple reasons for giddiness of this kind, apart from the one i mentioned above, it could be ear problem as well since you mentioned that it increases in changing neck position Modifications in your medications can be done till you get to consult your psychiatrist Pls have adequate water ,and stand with support
Next Steps
Consult Psychiatrist ( if possible offline ) otherwise online for modification of medications Physical checkup might be needed You may even show a general physician till then if there is anyone nearby so that atleast a physical examination can be done
