I am having discomfort, irritation and itching in the butt for a couple of weeks now.
I have had medication for piles- Daflon 500 for last 3 days, but the itching becomes severe at night.
Its irritating and I am unable to sleep. I don't feel to have any swelling in and around the area. I have given warm compress prior at night before sleeping which makes its little comfortable.

Night-time anal itching is not always due to piles.
Common causes include pruritus ani, healing fissure, fungal infection, dermatitis, excessive moisture, aggressive cleaning, or less commonly, pinworm infestation.
Since you do not feel any swelling, piles may not be the primary cause, and Daflon alone is unlikely to relieve itching.
Next Steps
If the itching persists beyond 1â2 weeks, or if you develop bleeding, pain, discharge, or a palpable lump, consult a colorectal surgeon for examination to identify the exact cause and prescribe targeted treatment rather than empiric therapy.
Health Tips
Continue warm sitz baths, keep the area clean and completely dry, avoid scratching, scented soaps, and excessive wiping. Wear loose cotton underwear and avoid spicy foods if they aggravate symptoms. Donât Self Medicate.
