Diplopia since 11 months ??
Respected Doctor's My dad is having diplopia coz of sixth nerve palsy since 11 months but still there is double vision in far peripheral ,is this normal how long can we wait for full recovery,for your kind information his sugar levels are normal but recently he is having eye pricking in both eyes is these normal Awaiting your replies 😊😊

It will take 6 months for recovery.  Put blood glucose levels checked and corrected regularly.  Use lubricants as needed. ..

We control the cause of sixth n palsy and wait  at least for six months to see the complete recovery.

Hello, Waiting for self recovery is the only option in this kind of 6th nerve palsy, and it recovers mostly if he keeps his sugar levels under control. Some amount of diplopia might remain , which can be corrected by other methods. For his eye pricking use lubricant eyedrops available over the counter. (Refresh tears, lubrex justears ontears etc)'
