Dilemma: kitogenic diet with LDL 240
My wife is taking kitogenic diet as a parallel therapy for lung cancer being treated with chemo therapy. Due to kitogenic diet, she had verry little side effects of chemo therapy. So she wants to continue with kito diet. Here are the causes of dilemma A) She's mildly diebetic & hyperthyroidic. She was not taking any medication for thyroidism because she was only having occasional palpitation. She was kept on beta blocker & neomercazole just before she was operated for lung cancer. During the operation, thyroid glands were found affected & were removed. The kito diet had soya products which was influencing her thyroidism. Doctor has advised discontinuing soya products. Do you have any comments on this from heart related issue? B) Kito diet being high fat, her LDL is now 240. Kito doctor says that that it will come under control once kitos in body will increase. The question is, whether LDL increase in short term is the cause of immediate concern. Your call on this.
