Diagnosed with Arrested Hydrocephalus
Dear Doctors,
My nephew, 3 yr, diagnosed with arrested hydrocephalus 6 months back. He looks week and have some balancing issue while walking. Takes only milk, no other solid food. Checked with eye doctor, no papilledema. His head is enlarged, but not very much. Some doctors suggested VP shunt surgery but some doctors suggested to monitor without surgery at this point.
What is arrested hydrocephalus and is it same as Compensated hydrocephalus?
Please advice.
