I am on insulin short acting human actrapid long acting lantus. is there any side effect of taking insulin shots.

The most important side effect is hypoglycaemia ie. Low blood sugar level. It can be avoided by eating at timely intervals as advised and adjusting the dose based on food intake/ sickness/ blood sugar levels. Type 1 diabetes mandates the use of insulin shots for sugar control. It can be dangerous if the shots are missed.
