If I had gestational diabetes that went away, should I worry? Is there a possibility of it relapsing?

There is around 40% risk of developing type 2 diabetes in patients who had gestational diabetes. If your blood sugars were normal following delivery then you should have blood glucose tests/HBA1C annually and at any time you develop symptoms of Diabetes. You would benefit from consulting a well qualified diabetologist who is experienced in managing gestational diabetes.
