Diabetes, joint hand pain
My mother is diabetic. She is also having constant pain in her left hand and on the outer side of her left thigh. She doesnt get sleep, cannot walk properly & gets tired easily. She cannot take her left hand behind her & also cannot raise it up. Pls advise what should be done in this situation. Is she having arthritis?

Pain in shoulders with inability to get it behind her seems like periarthritis of shoulder joint, which is common in diabetic patients. But cardiac conditions should be ruled out. Treatment is decided after clinical examination with xray and each, with blood sugar control. The other compliant in the legs seems like diabetic neuropathy , usually treated with some drugs and blood sugar control
