Diabetes and itching

My mother has got diabetes few months back. She had frequent urinations and itching on her whole body. Physician fromy city suggested to have blood sugar level tested. The fasting sugar came out to be 170-180, and the one after breakfast was above 300. We were shocked looking too high blood sugar level. From then she is taking medicines continuously but none of them has much effect. She takes multiple medicine then it comes down to 30-40 mg/dl above normal, but once she stops it again shoots to above 300. Doctor told it to be type 2 diabetes. Please suggest what should be approach to cure it.

First of all please never stop medicines abruptly. Consult with Diabetologist for proper medication. Perhaps she needs insulin that's why the body in not responding well to medication. Insulin is the best treatment for type 2 diabetes. Continuous high sugar levels may bring lots of complications. Wishing her good health.
