Dexamethasone abuse& ritodrine-pregnancy
Hi Respected, 28 years old , 36 weeks pregnant. My doctor started Dexamethasone injections from 6 th month. Asked to increase fluid intake and prescribed L-Argine for amniotic fluid increase. Till yesterday got 8 injections of Dexamethasone - 4 mg each. Is she just abusing steroid? I spoke to her in detail and she says everything is fine with fetus and it's growth, says just for precautionary. But why Dexamethasone? Also, she now asked me to take RITODRINE , which was banned in some countries and has proven bad effects on fetus. Should I be worried? The Dexamethasone (4mg+4mg) -- 2 injections were  given after 15 days interval in between. Also, the nursing home pharmacy isn't providing any printed bills for all these drugs. Every visit costing us around 4-5k, I'm worried how poor people are dealing with this. Please help, should I change by OB & GYN? By the way, she is MD. Very senior and around 20 years experience.
