In case of pain arising due to tooth decay emergency root canal treatment can be done only in the 2nd trimester of pregnancy ie 3month 10days till the 7th month under strict gynaecological supervision a written consent has to be taken to carry out the procedure. And avoid xrays and if necessary xrays to be taken should be taken with lead apron . Filling can be done if not an emergency then can be avoided till the delivery of baby and carried out at the earliest after both baby and mother is fine During pregnancy maintain good oral hygiene by rinsing after frequent intake of meals/ food and twice daily brushing Hope this answers your query if any doubts please visit your dentist for further details
