Dengue fever symptoms

Asked for Female, 16 Years

I have mild fever (100-101 f) . yesterday , I had rashes, which have disappeared now.I had medicine given by my doctor , who has considered my illness to be only viral fever. Do I have dengue ? Or is it chickungunya? Also, other symptoms like burning sensation in eyes have subsided by now

Hello there...I can understand your concern. Dengue fever can vary from simple fever to complications like dengue shock syndrome. It is usually associated with joint pain or bleeding manifestations. Only way to confirm is get dengue test done. However treatment remains the same, that is, symptomatic treatment. So if fever persists, consult your general physician for further evaluation.
