Dementia like symptoms led to bedridden
My father (54 yrs) has become completely bedridden, lost bowels controls, excessively weak. Al these chabges took place within just 6 months. MRI report said ? Chronic small vessels disease. All reports were normal but the doctor said its vascular dementia and vascular parkinsonism. No medications helped. Hands and shoulders got stiff, tounge has bent to one side and he is unable to move it. All these changes took place in just 6 months even when he was taking medicines like levodopa, donep etc. Is it really dementia or something else? Does dementia really progresses this soon. Please help.
