Decrease of tablet dosage for OCD
Present.I am using fluxotiene 60mg for OCD.. 1) should I use continously 60mg for lifelong? 2) Or else to decrease dosage for 40mg to ocd? 3) is it necessary to increase and decrease the dosage of medicine for OCD? 4) Should we use lifelong medicines for OCD? 5) when to increase and decrease dosage for ocd? Please clarify sir/madam

Hello, OCD is usually a long term disease. You should better continue treatment as advised by your treating psychiatrist..

OCD as illness has 3 types of responce, a) medicine started, patient feel better and medicine is gradually stopped with lifestyle modifications. b) Patient are well controlled on medication but when they try to stop symptoms reappear. c) Patient experience OC symptoms despite multiple medications (however the medicines help to keep OC symptoms lower than original magnitude) You will require a detailed evaluation ofline to determine what best can be done for you.
