Decline in appetite
My mother's appetite has declined over the past few months. She is a diabetic pateint and has the BSL between 150 - 200. Recently, she started having acute pain in legs and muscles, especially in knees. The leg muscles freezes during night time and she is unable to make any movement. Please suggest the necessary treatment/steps to be followed.

You need to consult a physician in person. please do not delay this. As far as joint pains are concerned most likely cause is osteoarthritis of the knee. Please consult your orthopedic surgeon for same and get xrays done so that grade of arthritis could be known and treated accordingly. All the best
