De-worming
My 4yr 5m old son has had No Worm syrup last yr around March. Should I administer it again this year? He has no symptom as such except visible loss of appetite and stagnant weight. He has not reported any itching near anal area or stomach pain... If yes, what is the procedure and interval to administer the complete dosage? Do children of this age need to be dewormed at regular intervals irrespective of symptoms?

Hi, There is a recommendation by the World Health  Organisation(WHO) and also Indian health guidelines to regularly deworm every child in India between 1 and 19 years of age which is,  till he/she finishes school atleast. Because soil transmitted infections are very prevalent in India To be given every 6 months , that is two times in a year A single dose of syrup albendazole 10 ml, or tab albendazole(1 tab=400mg) every 6 monthly is recommended

Educate children about importance of washing hands with soap before and after eating food
