D dimer 1800 post covid
What's causing high D Dimer value post covid? Father wad admitted to hospital 50 days ago, hospital stay was of12 days. Before admitting him, and during treatment and after discharge the d dimer was 500. Now after 50 days the d dimer is 1800. (He also consumed 150mg dabigatran for 20 days post discharge)
Absolutely terrified by such high value of d dimer. There are NO symptoms, no swelling/redness/pain, oxygen is 98, pulse is 90-95.
Should we be worried about heart attack or lung attack or brain stroke? Deeply terrified. What elevated the values so much? He wasn't on bed rest either, did exercises n yoga too.
