Cut in finger
My 5 MONTH old son got a cut in his finger by a nail cutter during his nail cutting. He had One-two drops of blood also. We applied dettol on the injured part also. Now I want to know that should we get him injected to avoid the risk of tetanus, if any. Is there really any risk at all?

Hi there...if you are following his vaccination schedule properly then you will not need an extra tetanus vaccine. If the wound is clean, then you can apply mupirocin cream over the wound, twice daily till it heals. If there's any pus discharge from it, then kindly consult a general surgeon or dermatologist, as he might require oral antibiotics also. Also you can also visit a paediatrician for further information on vaccination. Hope this helps you.
