CT SCAN RESULT QUERY
Hi..one of my aunt has met with an accident a minor one.upon the family doctor advise we got the CT scan done. The doctor says report is normal but theres one point which says small ischemic areas identified in the bilateral basal ganglia.what does this mean? Is there anything to worry? Can u suggest to whom shud i go?

Hello there. Small lacunar lesion means the shape of the lesion is lacunar. Ischemic lesion means blood is not going there properly and the area is being deprived of blood. Basal ganglia is a region in the brain. Consult a neurolophysician in person with the CT plate and this report. Regards
