My 5 Month old daughter was diagnosed with croup, the doctor had prescribed her a 5 mg Omnacortil for couple of days once in the morning. after the first day her hoarse cough has come down drastically and now whenever she coughs or cries the volume is pretty bleak. 1) is this normal? 2) what is the suggestion if not normal?

Hello Dear,
It is quiet normal for the volume to go down and ultimately the cough to decrease. Croup has very severe cough. You have to understand that her symptoms will gradually come down and will take some time to go away
