Creatinine level 1.8
My father is 62 yrs old and has a type 2 diabetes for 23yrs. His diabetes was uncontrolled and few das back i checked his creatinine level which was 1.78. However he now takes insuline and from last 5 days his diabetes is now under controlled. 9 months back his creatinine level was 1.25.Can his creatinine level again be turned back to normal level? However he doesn't have any heart problem or high blood pressure.

Good prolonged Diabetes control can revert back his creatinine levels. Better consult endocrinologist for diabetes control and  Nephrologist to evaluate reasons for elevated creatinine. .. ? UTI, Papillary necrosis, Stone disease..Etc..
