Hi, my father in law tested negative for covid today, he was under a steroid dosage of 8 mg which was tapered down to 4 mg and it was stopped day before yesterday.. Currently he is taking glycomate 500mg and was adviced to take ecosprin 75 AV for 3 weeks.. His blood sugar after 2 hours of taking breakfast showed 270 mg/dl today, is it because of steroid or does he needs to increase the dosage of glycomate?? If it's because of steroid, how long it's effects last? Kindly suggest.

The effect of steroids can last upto 2-5 days based on the specific steroid that was given. Glucose more than 250 if quite high , his diabetes medication dose also needs to be adjusted. Please consult online to discuss details
