Hi dr , My mother is having symptoms of covid 19 since 7 days from today as cold cough and loss of smell but she had not tested rather my family doctor had given ivermectin ,paracetamol, azithral 500 , montelare multivitamin, and coughsyrup as symptomatic treatment. And she was also recovering well from all.with normal spo2 97-98. However since yesterday evening she had fever of 99-100 for which I am giving paracetamol . Is it a matter of concern or what should I need to do For my mother

Some of the patients with covid infection are also suffering from other fevers like typhoid fever and dengue fever and malaria fever and also mild urinary tract infections. Please try to go through the investigations and find out what could be the cause and also repeat RT PCR test once again as a precautionary measure. If you want details please try to contact me I will explain you.

Temp is not very high . You can continue the same medicines. Take vitamins for 2 more weeks. If the fever is continously present for 5 days then you need to do some blood tests . CBC, CRP , ESR, D DIMER. For further assistance consult me via practo.

Considering she is already under treatment in the guidance of your family doctor it is best that you consult him/her for guidance.
