Covid crp high
Have tested myself in self covid kit. It came positive. It's 3rd day after the onset of symptoms. Last 2 days fever was high 102. Now it is 99-100 Yesterday I had my crp and cbc done. In cbc monocytes are 17 and lymphocytes 10.60 My crp is 40. Is it too high for a covid patient or it is normal having this much crp in covid or any infection.

CRP is one of the many markers to help in knowing the ongoing process, not any confirmatory test for diagnosing. If you are comfortable, no breathing distress, maintaining SpO2 above 96-97%, and it does not fall more than 2-3% after 6 minute walk test, your food intake is normal without any abnormality of taste or smell, and you are within reach of a well equi hospital, you may keep yourself at home, till anything enumerated above shows deviation. I presume you are inoculated with 2 doses of Covid vaccine.

Now that you have tested yourself positive for Covid, your CRP is high, I think it will be better if you consult with a General Physician in your area. In Tele-consultation we are handicapped because we can see what you allow us to see.  Surely so many findings may be missed.

Crp usually intends to increase in inflammatory conditions and covid is one of them. It shows you have infection. Proper treatment is necessary and for that you need to consult a doctor .

It's not that high....CRP anyways can get elevated in inflammatory conditions including Covid 19 illness...Clinical condition is more important than all the lab parameters 👍
