Dear Doctor ,
My Grandfather suffered a stroke 9 years ago which left his left side paralysed. Although his left leg regained power back, his left hand movement and power is very limited.
He isn't taking any specific medications now for his paralysis apart from BP tablets and he is non diabetic .
I require your opinion on the safety of administering covid vaccine on him , given his age and condition . Any precautions that need to be followed ?
Also is it possible to administer the vaccine on this paralysed left hand .
Looking forward to your guidance
Thank you

As such stroke is not a contraindication to covid vaccination. It is better to give it on the normal arm. Post vaccination monitor his temperature and blood pressure.
