Could my symptoms be a brain tumor?
I am 26 years old and I’m very worried something serious may be going on, even wondering if I should rule out a brain tumor. For some time I’ve had extreme increasing forgetfulness (sometimes even forgetting meals), confusion, word-finding trouble/fumbling while speaking, occasional imbalance while walking stairs, mild headaches on waking, anxiety attacks around 4 a.m., and I sometimes vomit when very stressed. I am on pexidep 12.5CR since 3 Years My all test are normal B12 is 326 and I do exercise daily .but mental weak I also have extreme fearfulness and severe abandonment issues, cannot cope with stress well, and when I feel something may end or get disrupted, I can feel suicidal or overwhelmed. Could these symptoms be due to severe anxiety/panic or something neurological, and do they sound concerning enough to need a neurological evaluation? Should I consider a brain MRI or other tests to rule out serious causes? Please guide me on what evaluation would be appropriate.

I can understand how scary this must feel, especially when thoughts like a brain tumor come in. The symptoms you’re describing — anxiety attacks, early morning waking, overthinking, stress related vomiting, and even forgetfulness or word finding difficulty — are very commonly seen in severe anxiety. This pattern can also fit with illness anxiety disorder, where the mind becomes very focused on the fear of a serious illness and that itself starts affecting concentration, memory, and overall functioning. At the same time, symptoms like imbalance or persistent confusion should be properly evaluated, but in your age group this is more often anxiety related than a neurological illness. The good part is that this is treatable. With the right treatment and therapy, these symptoms can improve significantly. I also provide online consultation and therapy support, so you can reach out if you would like a proper evaluation and guidance.

Your symptoms can feel very alarming, but many of them like anxiety attacks, overthinking, poor sleep, stress-related vomiting, and even forgetfulness or word-finding difficulty can occur with severe anxiety or panic and long-term stress. At the same time, symptoms like imbalance, confusion, or progressive worsening should not be ignored. Rather than assuming a serious neurological illness, the right approach would be a proper evaluation first. A psychiatrist can assess whether this is primarily anxiety/panic-related, medication-related, or if any further neurological workup (like MRI) is actually needed. It would be best to consult a psychiatrist soon for a detailed assessment and guidance, instead of trying to self-interpret these symptoms.
