Coughing and Wheezing
I have been coughing up phlegm every morning for about a week now and i have some wheezing / chest tightness in the morning. I am 36 years old and have been a smoker since i was a teenager. I cannot inhale a cigarette without coughing horribly for about an hour or two after i wake up. I have never experienced this before. It seems to get better throughout the day and i don't have any other symptoms. Should i see my dr.? Do i have an infection, allergies, something else?

You seem to be having hyperactive airway which may have worsened by smoking. You may need to undergo detailed clinical examination and tests such as X RAY chest and sputum examination
Next Steps
Consult nearby pulmonologist for confirmation of diagnosis and appropriate treatment if required
