My wife has been using Benadryl syrup (not the dry cough)This is not available in the nearby stores. Her body is sensitive to medicines. Can anyone suggest an alternate. It's urgent.

Benadryl contains a compound known as diphenadramine which is a antihistamine and cough medicine. There are few alternatives available such as COFRYL syrup. You can ask for this name or ask for generic name of the medicine
