Cough Reflex not present
Asking for father who underwent cervical surgery 2 months back, he is bed ridden post surgery and has tracheostomy as well. He is not able to cough on his own that is impacting his oxygen saturation. He doesn't have cough reflex because of that secretion is getting accumulated in lungs and blocking airways and causing pneumonia . Please suggest what is the treatment for recovering cough reflex and avoiding accumulation of cough in lungs.
