Cortisone Injection Wrongly Given
I got a cortisone injection on what was not cystic acne. The dermatologist gave the injections all over my face (on some pimples and mostly not on pimples). Now i'm noticing discoloration and mild atrophy and am concerned it's going to get worse. I use a toner with lactic acid and citric acid, is this ok to use? Should I avoid any products? Will my skin improve. I feel the doctor did not accurately treat my condition.

Avoid it.  Acne or  pimples... Due to hormonal changes..Oily skin causes it...Common in adolescent age...May occur in adults also.. Food like Oily foods, ice cream, chocolate and sweets increase it.. Treatment depends on the grade of pimples or acne..So, please  consult me in my clinic or consult me by direct online consultation by sending photos as it's a must to see which grade of pimples or acne for accurate diagnosis and treatment

Steroid injections can cause atrophy and hypo pigmentation. But its is important to know the indication for which you were given those injections, Without examination of the skin condition and knowing the extent of involvement.. along with this more information on ongoing medication (please send a photo of your prescription) or history of previous/current skin/systemic illness it is not possible to comment on the treatment that would suit you best. You should send me images through private online consult for a better assessment of the problem and approaching it accordingly. Hope this is helpful.
