Corticosteroids and side effects
Respected doctor, I was tested covid positive on 9th of last month and developed pneumonia from 16th of the same month. So I was on Dexamethasone injection for first 5 days followed by Dexamethasone tab 4mg twice a day for the next 5 days after injection and 4mg tab once a day for the last 5 days...and Resmesvir injection (drips) for the first days .....Then I became covid negative on 21st April...Its been 3 weeks already..After started taking steroid, im noticing some changes in me like memory loss, confusions, body pain and etc..so when will these side effects go off? And another concern is since corticosteroids act as immunosuppresent, is my immunity very low? Even mucormycosis also can happen even though its said that cancer pts and diabetic pts who were on steroids developed mucormycosis Btw I have no medical history..Me being a dentist know how bad mucormycosis could be...so Im little worried Thanks for the patience to read 😊
