Corner lips turning black and dry
Corner lips are turning black and dry. Is it due to taking of prednisone, which I am taking from past 10 years due to Nephrotic Syndrome

Lip hyperpigmentation can be due to varied causes .. uv radiation, hereditary, certain drugs list doesn't include prednisolone though, hormonal imbalance, certain infections, lip smacking habit.. consult with photographs...

Hi. Could be due to multiple causes like dryness, infection etc. Share photographs and detailed history. Not because of prednisolone per se.

It may be a candidal fungal infection due to chronic steroid intake..please consult a dermatologist for further management...take care!
