Coq10 suppliment. Clinical clearance!

Dear Doctors, We are writing to request clinical clearance regarding a supplement for 60 year old diabetic patien. She is currently being treated for Triple Vessel Disease (TVD) and Congestive Heart Failure with a 42% Ejection Fraction (EF). Lately, she has been experiencing persistent muscle pain, weakness, and generalized fatigue. Since her regimen includes Ecosprin AV 75/40 (which contains Atorvastatin), we are wondering if these muscle aches might be statin-induced myalgia due to a secondary CoQ10 depletion. Furthermore, we understand that CoQ10 supports mitochondrial energy production in a weakened heart muscle, which might help address her fatigue. Her current full prescription is: - Prolomet-XL 25 (1/2 tablet) - Dytor Plus 5 (1/2 tablet) - Axcer 90 - Ecosprin AV 75/40 - Insulin (NovaRapid and Lantus) Given her exact medication profile especially the concurrent use of dual antiplatelets (Axcer and Ecosprin) is it safe to introduce an over-the-counter CoQ10 supplement ?
