You can take emergency contraceptive pill in case of contraceptive failure.
It has high failure rate and many side effects
Instead you can start daily contraceptive pill.they prevent pregnancy and have least side effects ..

Yes u can take emergency contraceptive pill within 72 hrs of unprotected intercourse
In cases of emergencies like condom rupture
Regular use is not recommended as it's a high dose medication with side effects
