I am taking it for 2 years.Presently no problem of blood pressure and heart beat rate.Should I stop taking this drug to avoid its side effects?

Hello,
If your BP and pulse is normal on embeta xr then you should continue taking it. If you want to stop it, it has to be done gradually with doctor’s advice under proper supervision. Do not stop it suddenly.

If it was started to control your blood pressure and your heart rate, you shouldn’t stop it suddenly. Please meet your doctor and let him slowly withdraw the medication if possible. Beta blockers cannot be stopped suddenly.
